Monica runs the Pride headquarters and support desk, making sure volunteers, parade entries, and vendors have the documents and supplies they need on parade day. She keeps track of what still has to get done while the event is underway, and serves as the unofficial "Pride Mom."
Outside her work with Pride in Dallas, Monica volunteers with Pooch Savers Rescue, where she fosters animals that need a safe, nurturing environment and helps prepare them for placement in their forever homes.
Professionally, she is a Registered Nurse Case Manager with more than 32 years of clinical and case management experience. She leads a team of nurses working to improve health outcomes, widen access to quality care, and build more effective healthcare solutions for the communities they serve. That background in healthcare leadership, advocacy, and patient-centered care carries into her work in both the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.
