Christian primarily helps oversee parade operations, from staging and coordination to execution. If there is a need, he can usually be found somewhere nearby lending a hand: assisting volunteers, setting up barricades and banners, checking in parade entries, corralling participants, staging floats, controlling the flow of the parade, or helping with setup and teardown. He is always ready to jump in wherever needed.
Each year he makes the two-hour drive to Dallas and stays for five days with one goal in mind, to be of service however he can and help make Pride in Dallas an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Outside of Pride in Dallas, Christian is the general manager of McAlister's Deli in Paris, Texas, where he oversees daily operations while working to build a culture where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included, even if it is just over a sandwich and a glass of sweet tea. He also moonlights as a bartender and is halfway through earning his degree in counseling and social work.
At his core, Christian is a people person who loves bringing people together and making them smile. Whether he is managing with compassion, counseling with empathy, or bartending with flair, he brings the same energy wherever he goes: show up, help out, and make sure everyone feels like they belong. If there is a good time to be had, Christian will probably help make it happen.
